The last time the levees were breached in Plaquemines 600 people lost their homes! The last time I was in NOLA I stayed in Plaquemines, good luck there!! Flooding in Plaquemines Parish, a billion dollar levee improvement not due until 2018!

The problem with this storm is that it is big and slow and is going to generate up to 14 inches of rain and 12 foot storm surges during high tides. Isaac Lumbers toward NOLA, some staying some leaving. Oil Falls ahead as oil rigs shuttered ahead of Isaac.

GOP Admits it would be difficult to hold convention if Isaac floods New Orleans. Isaac expected to intensify. Takes Aim at New Orleans a day short of the 7th Anniversary of Katrina. Isaac still a quandary as to intensity and landfall. BP and others have shut down oil operations. It could raise gas prices overshadow GOP Convention. I’m getting a bad feeling about this storm. It is large and could get organized from hot water over the Gulf. Expect a Cat 2 hurricane hitting LA and Miss and the panhandle hard.

Isaac most damage could be on the Florida panhandle, evacuations possible. Florida declared state of emergency. Drenched Haiti, heading towards Cuba, expected to be Cat 1 or higher when it hits Florida. Hope that it will not cause the destruction of Isaac’s Storm that killed over 6,000 people in Galveston in 1900. fury follow the trajectory .
