Plum Island; wave height and storm intensity forecasts have dropped by coastal flooding and vulnerability on some areas of the barrier beach remains.

Today E winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft. Rain. Areas of fog. Vsby 1 to 3 nm.
Tonight S winds 15 to 25 kt…increasing to 20 to 30 kt after midnight. Gusts up to 40 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. Rain. Areas of fog. Vsby 1 to 3 nm.
Thu SW winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt. Seas 5 to 8 ft. Rain in the morning. Areas of fog in the morning with vsby 1 to 3 nm.
Thu Night W winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt…becoming 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt after midnight. Seas 4 to 7 ft… Subsiding to 3 to 5 ft after midnight.
