(NECN) – Thursday’s New England storm brings with it a renewed concern over beach erosion.

On the North Shore, officials on Plum Island have taken precautions, and at least two homes have been evacuated.

NECN’s Julie Loncich was live on Plum Island with the details. She said that residents have described Thursday’s conditions as the worst they’ve ever seen and that immediate action is necessary because homes are in jeopardy.

“Our neighborhood is under siege … and we need immediate assistance,” said resident Bob Connors.
