East Coast & Chatham; Highest tides of the year in May.

May tides will be the highest of the year, going up to 5.9 feet at Aunt Lydia’s Cove in Chatham. However these proxigean tides will cycle through the summer months for the next seven years so barring a major storm, the probability of erosion events will be lower than the last 7 years.  There will be eleven days of over  over 5 foot tides stating on Wednesday and peaking on May 7 and 8 at 5.9 feet.
