9-mile stretch of Mississsippi closed after 2 barges sink

Cresting waters making it dfficult to navigate the Mississippi have caused two barges to hit bridges and sink. Ironically much of the agricultural western part of Louisiana is also suffering a drought. I’m sure folks are eyeing the Morganza spillway as a future solution to both problems.
