Mississippi crests lower than expected. Grimsvotn volacona erups on Iceland.

The Morganza spillway appears to be working and the Mississippi has crested lower than expected some evacuations have been postponed. Meanwhile the Gimsvotn volacano has become active. Air traffic has been banned around the ash cloud. If the volcnano has occured under a glaciel it could cause a massive flood of melted waters across southern Iceland.
